I am a bit embarassed since I have NOT been on here FOREVER now :( .. I’ve been rather busy and to be completly honest I’ve had a bit of a “writer block”. However I will give you some outlines on what I’ve been up to;

1.) I’ve got a new job and I can’t (yet) tell what it’s about.
2.) I completely re-did my spring/summer wardrobe with a bit of a bohemian touch (will post pics SOON – i hope – i promisse).
3.) There is a new guy in my life.
4.) Was and will be returning to London and Paris soon.
5.) Longing for summer vacations.

I was stuck at different airports since Friday (due to bad weather conditions/snow) and I finally got home at 2am. However, my luggage did not have that luck. I believe I promissed I will do a review on my latest make-up purchases, but it’ll have to wait that I get my baggage, cause it’s all in there.

What I got is:

Anyway, I am back now.

As promissed, here is my ELF order I recieved quite some time ago;

(I know it’s a crappy camera,, I will try to fix that in the future!)

The first lipgloss from the left is the “plumping lips” colour “fire coral” and I must say (it costs about 1.50$/€) for it’s price I was quite surprised by it. It is not of course THE best product ever, however it does moisturize the lips and I like its texture and application. Also, it doesn’t go away really soon. Overall, I’d say it’s an average lipgloss, however for it can definitely be compared with those of Maybelline (they had a line coming out some time ago, with the same effect). The colour is veeeeeery nice (just as I expected) and if you like a lot of different colours and you get bored of the same colour easily then just get loads of ELF plumping lips lipglosses.

On the other hand, I was a bit dissapointed by their hypershine lipgloss. I ordered a “bubble gum” colour.. and while the colour IS indeed really nice, it does not apply well and it last for exactly 10mins, but then again, it is really cheap (costs about the same as “plumping lips”).

The most satisfaction gave me their “golden goddess” nail polish (from Christmas collection). It’s really AMAZING !! very Christmassy indeed – lots of small sparkles and larger ones here and then. Was thinking to colour my nails red first and then cover it with just one layer of this golden one (might test it in the future,, think i’d look kool). Anyway, it lasts forever too (about 5 days,, and I do a lot of hand work), it applies nicely and 2 layers are enough.

Anyway,, I ordered blusher, eyeshadows (cream and mineral) and more nailpolishes. Will do a review when I get them!!

I am suuuuuper happy today; I finally recieved my ASOS order that I’ve been waiting for,, for about 1 week now. My first two pieces of my new winter wardrobe, which I named Siberian Princess. Some days ago, we got the first snow and the weather got much colder = winter is here. I’ve been kinda searching for inspiration for my new winter 2010/2011 style and trying out some options; when finally I landed with this idea. The colours I’ll be wearing are powder pink, beige, white, light blue, gray  in combination with red, black and dark green.

I’m going home for Christmas (leaving on the 18th of December – got to avoid the airport crowds) and I am planning to visit my “home”  hairdresser with a demand for lighter (kinda honey/cognac) highlights (for those of you who don’t know, my hair is kinda auburnish now); anyway, I think that colour would suit better my new style.

Some days ago I order some lipglosses and nailpolishes from ELF cosmetics, since I’ve heard so many positive feedbacks (mostly from youtube gurus, but some friends have reported satisfaction too :)) I’m still waiting for my package but I’ll report back as soon as I get it (and test it of course). Anyway, they already have their Christmas specials collection available and since, last year I was more than happy with KIKO make up Milano Christmas collection (got some nailpolish, pearly puff and eyeshadows), I went to check if they had theirs on yet (can’t wait to hit the store in December!!!!!!! btw), which they didn’t but instead I came across this “siberian flowers collection” (which inspired the name for my style) and I WANT and NEED the following – EYESHADOW PALLETE number 03 (siberian purple) and number 05 (Azure Ice Reflections).

Anyway, to get back on the original excitement for my ASOS order;

Here it is; my faux fur headband and tube scarf with pompoms! Love it !! (special thanks to mummy:))).

Before discovering my package between my post, I went downtown and shopping with some of the girls from my class. I bought a dress from BikBok , which I am planning to wear on the New Years Party, but I’ll post the photo of the dress later on, together with my new years eve special make-up tutorial and guide to unforgettable (literally) party:))

AAAANND for the last note, I still have my eyes on a powder pink/beige with kinda greenish/grayish pattern winter coat from Vila (it’s a bit pricey to be honest, so I am still considering if to get it,, well I have time until my next paycheck!)

I decided to make low kcal, chicken in the oven and broccoli as a side dish.

Here is my recipe;

CHICKEN & BROCCOLI

• 2 chicken legs
• salt, pepper
• lemon
• rosmarin
• olive oil
• broccoli
• (Kentucky chicken wiskey glazing if you wish to add more crust)

Pre-heat the oven to 300 degrees. In the meantime, wash the chicken legs and cover them with salt (how much salt depends on your taste) and add some pepper. Take a spoon of olive oil and few drops (3-5) of lemone and mix it with rosmarin so you get a glazing texture (if you dont like rosmarin or you want your chicken to be more crusty, just use some of those Kentucky chicken wiskey glazings). Put the chicken in the oven for about 50minutes. In the meantime, add broccoli to salted/peppered boiling water and boil it for 20minutes (if you like, you can use the water – once you took broccoli out as a soup). Don’t forget to spill water over your chicken every 7-10mins (depenind on how fast the water dries out), as you dont want it to be too dry. Turn chicken over after 25mins and do it again for the last 10mins (in sense – last 5min on one side and 5mins on the other side again,, dont add any water then!!!).

Your chicken should be low kcal, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside!!

We’ve made some mummy-dogs and eyeball-tacos served with some snacks (home made guacamole sauce, chips, nachos and candy ofc). It took us about 20 mins to prepare each (although the mummie-dogs are supposed to bake for like 15-20mins on about 250-200 degrees).

Mummy-dogs;

I think this one is pretty generic idea and everyone is familiar with it, but still;

You’ll need some hotdogs and some dough you can wrap them in (i’d suggest buying the croissant dough). You cut the paste in the stripes and just wrap each hotdog in whatever shape you want. Then you put them in the oven (on 200-250 degrees) until they are golden brown (takes about 15-20mins). Once you put them out, you can draw faces with mustard, ketchap or mayo.

Eyeball-tacos;

Really simple. What you’ll need is taco shells, some vegetables or/and meat to stuff them, taco spices, some tomato sauce and creme fraiche. You wanna use meatballs and olives for the eyeballs (as we didn’t know if all invited eat meat, we made vegetarian tacos).

And TA-DAH, both together;

DRINKS:

Ok, it’s not really visible on the picture, cause I’ve taken it too late, but the ice was “hand” shaped. You want to prepare that one day in advance, cause it takes forever to freeze. Just take one of those latex/rubber gloves (the one’s one might use when doing the dishes) and fill it with water and lay it down carefully in the freezer. Take it out from the freezer at least 15mins before you need to use it, since it has to melt a bit so you will be able to take it out of the glove.

I stuffed the glass with strawberries and marshmellows (which created this “bloody-flesh” effect) and added wild strawberry tasting sparkling wine. Add the ice-hand in the end and TA-DAH, it’s delicious ;)
